Rushmoor Royals Level 1 Competition

November 5, 2010

The Halloween weekend saw some impressive swimming from the Portsmouth Northsea Swimmers. The total medal haul for the weekend being 6 Gold and 1 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals.

Golden Girl Mazie Watson walked away with 3 Gold Medals on the first day of competition in the 50 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle and the 200 Breastroke. Unfortunately illness prevented her from competing on the second day.
Elizabeth Rose had a great swim in the 200 Breastroke picking up a Gold medal and had further success with a Silver medal in the 400 I.M and Bronze in the 50 Breastroke.
Hannah St.John-Mosse continued Northsea’s success with a Gold in the 200 Butterfly and Bronze medals in both the 400 I.M and 50 Butterfy. All girls achieving their Hampshire qualifying times.
Other medal winners were Amber Lloyd and John McGee-Colweel both picking up bronze medals in the 200 Butterfly.
Welldone also, to the younger swimmers attending their first Level 1 meet and especially to Rosie Gunn, Alaina Ward, James Jervis and Luke Kincart who achieved their first Hampshire Qualifying times.
In all, Northsea swam some great swims with many very promising personal best times this early in the season.

Well done to all those who attended.

Chessington World of Adventure

November 3, 2010

On 27th October we had a fantastic fun filled family day trip to Chessington World of Adventure, with the theme of Halloween witches, ghouls and even the headless rider wondered the streets.

There was something for everyone from the Bubbleworks to the Dragon’s Fury. Some even dared the Haunted House and the Vampire. Once they felt they had been on enough rides there was even a Zoo and a Sea Life Centre to explore.

From losing their husbands to getting stuck on rides the day was full of excitement and we cannot wait for next year.
